Nkwanta North NDC Youth calls for revocation of Oti Regional Minister ‘s appointment

Konkombas in the Nkwanta District of the Oti Region are up in arms against their Regional Minister who doubles as the the Oti Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).They are calling for the revocation of the Regional Minister Hon Gyapong Kudjo’s appointment by President John Mahama with immediate effect in the interest of peace and harmony in the region; calling him a tribal bigot who lack the capacity to unify the region.
At press conference to vent their anger some NDC youth within the district accused the Regional Minister Hon Gyapong Kudjo of having sent a leaked audio to President Mahama not to consider any Konkomba man for appointment in his government since Konkombas were highly favoured under the erstwhile Akufo Ado administration.
According to the the youth the Regional Minister Hon Gyapong Kudjo has ironically removed names of Konkombas from the list of people vying for the position of MMDCE in region and replaced them with Ewes.
The youth mostly NDC are therefore calling on President Mahama to fire the Regional Minister for playing tribal cards and bringing sharp division into the region.
Konkombas are said to have produced not less than eleven Mps for the NDC nation wide in the current parliament and for that matter need to be treat with some level of respect and dignity no matter where they are found.
