The Youth Commander of the New Patriotic Party for the northern region, Mohammed Alhassan a.k.a Ghana Alhassan has expressed satisfaction about the performance of President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo, saying the youth of the party in the region has caused to complain.
According to the NPP Youth leader, the government has fulfilled almost all the 2016 manifesto promise pledged to the people of Ghana. He emphasized the Akufo Addo/Bawumia administration has worked tremendously to improve the economy, arguing there is substantial growth across all sectors of the economy manifesting in the creation jobs more than the erstwhile Mahama led NDC government.
“2020 is not the year to complain, we must appreciate what the government has done well in all sector, we must realized that the choice we made in 2016 has not been in vein. There is no promise in our manifesto that the president has failed to address” he noted.
Ghana Alhassan scored Nana Akufo Addo 100 percent in fulfilling his promise of implementing free Senior High School education. He maintained the government has gained 100 percent for fulfilling the one ambulance per constituency through the Infrastructure for Poverty Eradication Programme (IPEP) under the Ministry of Special Initiatives.
The NPP Youth leader further scored the government’s flagship One Village One Dam at 70 percent. Speaking in an exclusive interview with the Ghanaianeye.com on day one of the three day of tour of the northern region by the NPP Regional Chairman, Ghana Alhassan noted the tour is to reinvigorate the spirit of the grassroot of the party towards victory during next December’s general elections.
He said the youth of northern region is particularly grateful to the Dagbon Malti Naa Abudani I and the NPP government for restoring peace back to Dagbon, insisting the famous Abudu Andani chieftaincy crisis is history and added children in the area would only read about it in future but not experience it.
The NPP Northern Regional Chairman, Mohammed Baantima Samba began a three day tour of the region on Thursday, January 2, 2020, to interact with electoral area coordinators and constituency executives as part of plans to begin this year’s campaign season.
Some of the delegates in an interview commended Chairman Samba for recognizing their efforts and contributions towards the growth of the NPP. However, they seized the opportunity to raise some concerns that in their view would enhance the chances of the party in the general elections.
