40years and counting;
Odotobri Rural Bank remains resilient despite economic challenges.

Despite the economic downturn in the country with its adverse effects on the individual, organizations and financial institutions , the Odotobri Rural Bank with its headquarters at Jacobu in the Amansie central District of Ashanti region has remained resolute and financially strong to weather the storm.
As the Bank of Ghana requires from rural banks to have a minimum stated capital of one million Ghana cedis, the Odotobri Rural Bank has in excess of 3,4 million ghana cedis as its minimum capital. This make the Bank very resilient in rural banking.

This was made known by the Chief Executive Officer of the Odotobri Rural Bank Mr Abraham Coffie at a media engagement in Kumasi as part of activities marking the 40years anniversary celebration of the Bank
Mr Coffie attributed these successes to hard work and perseverance as well as innovation on the part of the Board, Management and staff of the Bank which he said helped to broaden the scope of the Bank from only one to 14 branches within the length and breadth of the Ashanti region.
The CEO assured the general public including existing and prospective customers that the Bank has a better alternative to recent development in the banking sector and that It would continue to offer innovative products and services to meet the current and emerging needs of customers in order to ensure their satisfaction at all times.
The Odotobri Rural Bank was incorporated by shares in March 1982 under companies code1963,Act 179 and was subsequently issued a license to commence operation in September 1982.
The bank has a vision of becoming an accomplished Giant in the rural banking industry and to provide efficient financial services through customised products among other things.
Corporate social responsibilities were not left out of the Bank’s success story; the CEO mentioned areas such as education ,security, health, community infrastructure, agriculture among others where the Bank had to direct it’s social activities.
It is against this giant stride that the bank has received several awards from reputable organizations over the years. The most recent include A Gold Award in Rural banking category at the19th Ashanti financial services Excellence Award Organized under the auspices of The Manhyia Palace in 2022 and also the best Rural Bank in the Ashanti Region for 2021 financial year.
He gave a hint of plans to roll out electronic channels like mobile app and also open more new branches in strategic areas so as to bring banking closer to the people
