NDC women group calls for recognition from current executives to build more formidable party

Former women organizers and activists of the National Democratic Congress in the Ashanti region have come together to uphold the resting agenda of government and to ensure a vibrant women front which would rally behind the NDC party and the government for nation building.

At a maiden meeting in Kumasi which brought together over hundred women including the former Ashanti regional Women Organizer Hajia Sadiiq and Nana Yaa a former women organizer for Nhyiaeso, the coordinator of the group Mamaga Lucy who is popularly known as Mama Luu told journalists that women play a vital role in any organization and that they have the power to influence and for that matter push any agenda to succeed hence the need to come together to build a formidable force behind the party and government in order to steer the affairs of the nation to the promise land.

Malaga Lucy who was the Asokwa constituency women organizer how ever called for some amont of recognition from the party hierarchy especially from current executives who she said see them as out cast.

She was not happy the way the former executives of the party have been relegated to the background; a situation she described as unrewarding and unfortunate.

Malaga there fore called on on the rank and file of the party to team up with all old executives and activists to build a stronger NDC
