An emerging pressure group called ‘United Voices for Change ” which seeks to restore Ghana to the path of economic emancipation and the rule of law has pledged to fight head on by making their voices heard until the change that Ghanaians are desirous of in all spheres is delivered.

One of the major aims of the group is to educate the citizenry on all political and educational happenings in the country backing it up with facts and figures and also to become the voices of reasoning for the voiceless in society.

Launching the group in Kumasi, the convenor for the United Voices for Change Mr. Antwi Sylestine Roland in his statement could not fathom why the people of Ghana should be going through excruciating hardships in recent times when the nation is blessed with almost all the resources it deserves to change.
He therefore gave the assurance that with the emerging of the U.V.C there would be a bridge that would link the government and the people in order to ensure strict accountability and for the right things to be done to better the lot of the ordinary citizens.

Mr. Antwi wondered why the vociferous in Ghana then have all of a sudden lost their voices and are refusing to speak on matters of national concern in the past seven years.
“Some few years ago faith-based organizations, civil society groups and people in the academia had a loud voice which ultimately shaped and kept the then government in check to deliver.
Unfortunately, all these people have lost their voices a situation that has embolden the current administration to push the nation further into the ditch “.

He believed strongly that the direction of the country today needs a swift change since none of the indications statistically and in real terms suggests any hope for the future saying that all the indicators show danger and calamity ahead of the nation if government continues on the current tangent.

It is on this note that the group is determined to fight head on until the right thing is done to restore the dignity of the nation Ghana irrespective of the price.
Mr. Antwi therefore called on all well-meaning Ghanaian to rise and add their voices for change before the situation gets out of hand.
