Government urged to groom business men for 24hour economic policy
Businesses in the Ashanti region have embraced government flagship policy of 24hour economy with a call on government to make conscious efforts to nurture and groom business men if the policy is to flourish.
Large and small scale enterprises within the Ashanti region are enthused with the economic policy direction of government referencing the appreciation of the cedi against some major trading currencies, low inflation and stable micro economic environment.
They said if this is sustained or improve upon ,it would lead to major economic boost for the country leading to job creation.
Interacting with field players as far as businesses are concerned in the region, Dr William Atta Owusu who is the Chief Executive Officer of Peggert Engineering Company in Kumasi clearly stated that the business environment is favourable resulting to expansion of scope and employing more hands.
This he said will positively affect government revenue generation. He also stressed the need for government to build the 24hour economy policy around businessse to help build a more robust economy.
Dr Atta Owusu could not hide his joy at the turn of event especially when he disclosed that banks are now chasing business men for loan as a result of prudent economic policies layed down by government which hither to was not the case.
He however admonished government to pay a particular attention to the Ashanti region and see the region as a partner in development of the nation; since an economic boost of the Ashanti region can contribute greatly to the success of the government.
