Deduako Apemso Assembly Member leads massive clean up exercise in his electoral area

The Assembly Member for Deduako Apemso electoral area in the Oforikrom municipality of Ashanti ,Hon Richard Nyako has rallied the support of the people in his electoral area including traditional authorities and political figures for a massive clean up exercise.

The exercise which is to be carried out once every month was to ensure sustainable hygienic environment and to help minimize sanitation related diseases.
Both young and old were happily involved in the exercise as the desilted chocked gutters, collected refuse in the community and weeded bushy areas.
The youth of the two major political parties:the NDC and the NPP with their parliamentary hopefuls were deeply involved in order to ensure a healthy environment for their teaming supporters ahead of the 2024 general elections.
The Assembly Member who doubles as the presiding member for the Oforikrom municipal assembly Hon Richard Nyarko who is popularly known as Obolo used the occasion to educate the people on the need to keep their surroundings clean.
He said there could not be any meaningful development without good health and that good environmental practices bring about good health hence the need for conscious efforts to promote cleanliness.
Hon Nyarko more over expressed joy seeing the two major political parties working together for a common interest; this he said was a clear indication of peace and tranquility that exist in the electoral area and for that matter the municipality.
The Deduako Apemso Assembly Member took turns to give an account of his stewardship for the past four years. This includes provision of street lights, water , reshaping of roads and constant donations to widows and widowers among other things.
The Chief of Kodiekrom Nana Kofi Owusu how ever made a passionate appeal to government for fixing roads in the area and also fencing of the local basic schools in in the community.
