Lack of resident Judge impeding justice delivery in Juaso and it’s environs

Juaso the Asante Akim South Municipal capital can boast of a state of the art court complex and residential accommodations for Judges yet there has not been any resident Judge who would adjudicate cases for fast trucking of justice delivery.

Owing to this , cases have to be sent to adjoining districts such as Agogo and Konongo for hearing.

This according to the Asante Akim South Municipal Commander of Police Inspector Benjamin Mensah is affecting Swift justice delivery and a worry to most people within the Municipality.

Inspector Mensah was speaking to Journalists after some miscreants numbering about 30 have besieged the premises of the Juaso Forest District with offensive weapons and towed away an impounded KIA truck and also took away items such as chainsaw machines a tricycle and an amount of 9 thousand Ghana cedis after having taken every body hostage.

The Juaso police Command was able to track the people and retrieve the KIA truck while one of the suspects Price Agyemang popularly known as Nana Yaw has been remanded in police custody to re appear on the 15th of December 2025.

This and many other cases which could have been heard at Juaso are taken outside the Municipality due to lack of a judge.This Inspector Mensah said is a grave concern to them and therefore called on the authorities concern to address the issue as a matter of urgency in order to enhance better justice delivery in the Municipality.

Meanwhile the Juaso Forest District Manageress Madam Priscilla Asumanin and her Assistant Manager Mr Charles Ackom after briefing the media said that management of the district would not condone illegalities and that they were prepared to cooperate with law enforcement agencies to ensure that justice is delivered.
