NDC Group elated over choice of Jane Nana Opoku Agyemang as Running Mate; the move to enhance women empowerment
Friends of Jane Nana Opoku Agyemang a National Democratic Congress (NDC) affiliated sprinter group has sent a word of appreciation and and gratitude to the Former president of the Republic of Ghana and the 2024 Flagbearer of the NDC Jonh Dramani Mahama for reposing confidence in Prof Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang once again by choosing her as his running mate for the upcoming general elections.
The group by extension commended the the Council of elders as well as the National Executive Council of the party for overwhelmingly endorsing the choice of Prof Naana Opoku Agyemang.
They described Jane Naana as some one who has excelled and has dedicated all her life to the service of humanity both in private and social life.
At a short press briefing in Kumasi, the Chairman of Friends of Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang Mr David Sakyi who is popularly known as Kofi NDC said the move by Mr Mahama was a history in the making since this significant milestone would propell the woman to the highest office of the land as far as gender parity is concerned
He there fore called on all Ghanaians particularly women to rally behind the woman in order to make the noble dream of John Mahama a reality.
The partnership of John and Jane according to the group would inspire the future generation to further promote gender equity.
The group further congratulated Jane Naana as they called for total unity among the NDC for a resounding victory in the 2024 general elections.
