The newly inducted Head pastor of the Assemblies of God Church, Bekwai District in the Ashanti region Rev Emmanuel Awudu Bawah has called on Men of God to rise up and speak against the rots in the nation Ghana.
Rev Emmanuel Awudu Bawah in this regard entreated the clergy to eschew the tendency of becoming dump suggesting having sold their conscience and integrity for money and the forms of material gains.
He said God would not spare men of God of his wrath if they continue to watch unconcerned for the nation to end up in the ditch because they have allowed money and material things to corrupt their judgement.
Rev Bawa made the call in an interview with the media after his induction service at the Mount Zion Assemblies of God Church at Bekwai in the Ashanti region.
He observed that faithfulness and transparency is missing among certain people who have been clothed with authority.
He pointed that some leaders are suffocating the very people who place them in position of trust and authority and only to go back to them when they need their votes year after year.
Rev. Bawah promised not to follow what other men of God are doing but will serve God and humanity with integrity and diligence.
“On the contrary, I wish to serve my people and the church with diligence and owe whatever that comes with this position to the entire district ” he stated.
The new District pastor sent a word of reminder to President Akufo Addo to think about the vulnerable and the destitute in society since his position as the president of Ghana did not happen by chance and that he must ensure that his pre-occupation should be how best to better the lot of Ghanaians rather than worsening their plight.
In his sermon, Rev Simon Abu Baba the general treasurer of the Assemblies of God Church and Head Pastor Mim Central urged Rev Bawah to see the task as critical which requires discipline, humility, diligence and obedience.
He reminded him to seek the face of God at all times and be guided by the constitution of the church and also seek the welfare of the local church.
